I was fortunate enough to attend FITC (Formally known as Flash in the Can) a technology conference in Canada that has grown to an International Event drawing Designers and Developers from across the globe. This is my 3rd time attending FITC since the drop off of Flash Forward. With over 70 Presentations facilitated by over 80 Internationally renowned speakers too 1200 + attendees.. this conference is Diesel. What I took back from this conference is too much to possibly write down. Adobe’s keynote was particularly interesting revolving around its efforts to empower developers and designers with tools to easily get them into Mobile and App development.. and a big surprise also was the amount of effort being put forward by Adobe in the Gaming Community. Between Adobe’s keynote and a follow up of Adobe’s Game Evangelist Lee Brimelow… Adobe is very focused on the trending “gamification” of the internet. More and more sites are coming up directly tied to Social Media and Reward / Point Systems. Adobe is making several steps forward to lower the barrier of entry for Designers and Developers to get into Game development, and “gamification” of their online interactive sites.
